Sounds good but sounds identical to the 2019 regular black pressing so save yer money unless you are desperate to watch a green record spinning instead of a normal one. Bottom line, if you don't have a solid pressing of this album and want to own one, don't hesitate and grab this while you can. Maybe that's their 30th anniversary plan this year 🤞 but for now, cassette and CD are the way to go for this release. A routinely great artist, much of Sufjan's universal appeal comes from his skills as a gifted narrator, pairing personal musings on love and devotion with commentary on American culture, whilst welding folk and electronica, the ambient and existential. Any one on Discogs that can confirm that the original US LP really was released not only with green frame (black frame but green watches) but also has one version with red frame / red wacthes and different artist displayed, and one version with black frame / no greenish watches and different artists displayed. The album didn't feature as many topical tracks as Tribe was known for, though the group did include an excellent, sympathetic commentary on the question of that word ("Sucka Nigga," with a key phrase: "being as we use it as a term of endearment"). My friend got this direct from his mate who worked at Jive back in the day so its 100% an official pressing. VG/EX means that the item's sleeve is in Very Good condition and the disc is in Excellent condition.
